By using the SEO Durham website (seodurham.uk) or engaging us for SEO or paid advertising services, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Our Services
SEO Durham provides search engine optimisation, generative engine optimisation (GEO), AI search optimisation (AEO), and Google Ads management services to businesses in Durham and the North East of England.
The specific scope of work, deliverables, and timescales for any engagement are set out in a written proposal or service agreement provided before work begins. These terms apply alongside that agreement.
Quotes and Pricing
Prices shown on this website are indicative ranges only. The actual cost for your business depends on your website, your competition, and the scope of work required. We provide a written breakdown before any work begins. No charges are made without your explicit agreement.
- Monthly SEO retainers are billed in advance at the start of each month
- One-off audits are billed on delivery
- Google Ads budgets are paid directly to Google - they are separate from our management fees
- All prices are exclusive of VAT where VAT applies
Payment Terms
Invoices are due within 14 days of issue unless otherwise agreed in writing. Late payments may incur interest under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998. We reserve the right to pause work if payment is not received within 30 days of the invoice date.
Results and Performance
Search engine rankings are determined by Google and other search engines, not by us. We do not guarantee specific ranking positions or levels of traffic. SEO involves making improvements that increase the likelihood of higher rankings, but outcomes depend on many factors outside our control, including algorithm changes, competitor activity, and the quality of your website content.
Any case studies, statistics, or timeframe estimates we share are illustrative and based on typical client experience. They are not a guarantee of your specific results.
Your Responsibilities
To carry out SEO work effectively, we may need access to your website, Google Search Console, and Google Analytics. You agree to provide reasonable access and to respond to queries from us within a reasonable time. Delays caused by lack of access or response may affect your results and are not our responsibility.
Cancellation
Either party may terminate a monthly retainer with 30 days written notice. Work already carried out and invoiced is payable regardless of cancellation. One-off audits and project work are non-refundable once delivery has been made.
Intellectual Property
Reports, strategies, and written content we create for you become your property once paid for in full. Our internal processes, tools, and methodology remain our intellectual property. You may not resell or redistribute materials we create for you without our written consent.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SEO Durham shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from the use of our services, including but not limited to loss of revenue, loss of data, or loss of business opportunity. Our total liability to you in any 12-month period shall not exceed the total fees paid to us in that period.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other matter where liability cannot be limited by law.
Confidentiality
Both parties agree to keep confidential any information exchanged that is not publicly available and that a reasonable person would consider sensitive. This obligation continues after the end of any engagement.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be available at seodurham.uk/terms-and-conditions/. Continued use of our services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
